No matter whether you go out and buy new clothes, use Christmas presents or repurpose old clothing, one of the biggest impacts you can have on your looks, is changing out your old wardrobe and replacing it with new things to wear.

2. Change your mindset

Your mindset has an effect on every other aspect on this list in a huge way, this is why you need to mould it in a way that you have control over your life.

Start journaling your thoughts

With such a hectic year just passing, you will now understand the importance of processing and managing your thoughts so you can either dismiss them, alter them or even nuture them so that they grow bigger.

Our thoughts, feelings and emotions are very subjective and can change drastically throughput the day and this is where journaling can be so powerful.

Journaling last thing at night or the first thing in the morning allows you to be at one with yourself and manage your days accordingly.

Practice meditation

Do you ever feel anxious? Frustrated? Or that you can’t focus? This is usually because your nervous system isn’t working at the right pace for your desired brain state, leaving you well below your true potential.

Practicing meditation can help combat these problems by helping you focus and bringing you more solitude within.

Meditation is different for everyone, from sitting cross legged in the lotus position repeating a mantra, to simply closing your eyes, breathing deeply and focusing on your breath. If you are a beginner, we advised that you use an app or a guided meditation on the Internet to help you on your journey. Whatever You choose to do, the evidence is there to suggest that meditation is good for you.

Have a growth and abundance mindset.

Your mindset is key, and two mindsets that Can significantly influence how your year will begin and proceed throughout are a growth mindset and an abundance mindset.

An abundance mindset is the feeling that you are never lacking in anything And you already have What you need inside of you as well as there being plenty more than that you can gain without taking anything from anyone else.

A growth mindset Is the idea that no matter your circumstances and the challenges that you might face on the journey ahead, with hard work and dedication you can achieve pretty much anything by developing yourself.

You can quickly see why these two mindsets imperative in your success of the year.

3. Look after your body

Looking after your body can mean a lot different things, but over here we like to keep it simple for you by focusing on the three main types of health; sleep, nutrition and exercise. Your body is the vessel that is going to take you through life so, make sure that you take care of it.

Get the right amount of sleep.

Sleep is one of the most essential parts of being and staying healthy, yet it is the one that is most overlooked. It has an effect on your weight, mood, alertness and so much more! There is debate on how much is a perfect amount of sleep but on average most experts suggest roughly 8 hours of sleep per night.

One thing that we’re searching right now is the effect of circadian rhythms and ultradian cycles on sleep and wakefulness, by using this information a more beneficial amount of sleep would be around 9hrs or 7 and a half hrs depending on your activity so that you don’t feel fatigued or groggy.

Fuel your body with a healthy diet.

Food is quite literally fuel for your body and what you put in. Determines what you’ll be able to get out of it. Lots of diets on the Internet can lead you down the wrong path. and nutrition is very specific to you so, it should be tailored for you and your needs.

We’re not here to tell you which diet to follow as we have already stated that you need to find what works best for you, However, we do think it is important to have a plan and to find something that suits you so, that is why we created this article.

Have an exercise routine.

If you want to look better, feel healthier and be able to do more with your body, you need to create an exercise routine. You don’t have to go crazy either.

There’s no need to buy all the new equipment or go to the gym as much as you can in the 24 hours of the day, 7 days a week. You can simply start at home.

One of the tricks that we like to use is known as environmental design, which comes from the Book Atomic Habits.

Using the case of wanting to exercise more, you would put your exercise equipment closer to where you would use it, For example, you could set yourself the task of doing 30 pull-ups on a pull up bar, every time you enter or exit your bedroom.

4. Connect with yourself and others.

Connecting with yourself and others is vital for your mental health and well being meaning that you can live a more fulfilled life with those around you.

Network with like minded people.

We must of said it 100 times before, but the theory of you being the average of the five people that you spend the most time with is so accurate. Although it might not be as simple of an equation as that, it is a valuable lesson either way.

The people that you surround yourself with have such a huge influence who you are and who you are becoming, either for the good or for the bad So, if you want to become a mentally, physically, and spiritually more well rounded person, you need to start connecting with people on the same mission as you.

We realize that this is not possible for everyone, as not all of our friends and family members have the same goals and ambitions as us so this is why we try to connect you with the concepts and theories experts are teaching.

Get outside your comfort zone.

If you want your life to change, that means you will have to change and that means pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. The problem is the things that are best for you are often the hardest and you’ll face the most resistance, whereas, the things that aren’t as good for you are using the easiest to do and don’t make you feel uncomfortable.

Also, your comfort Zone grows with you, so if you test it, It will expand making things feel less daunting to you and if you don’t, your comfort zone will shrink making it harder for you to do things

Have a Self care routine.

In life, you need to be your own best friend and take care of yourself because there’s not always going to be someone there to support you, This is why you need to create a self care routine so that you can fall back on it when you aren’t feeling your best.

Self care doesn’t have to be a woo woo topic where you engage in some weird ritual that you’ve seen on tiktok, it can simply be spending time on your own, reflecting on your thoughts.

5. Set new goals

If you want 2022 to be your year, you need to have a project or something to work on that will make you a better person in the long run.

Learn a new skill.

This one is like having a new years resolution, It’s something to put your entire focus into for the rest of the year. It could be building a business, learning a new language or practicing to play an instrument, Anything that will put you closer to your ideal self.

Learning a new skill isn’t always a pay to play kind of game, There are many great free resources out there, from podcasts and videos to courses and workshops, it just depends on how committed you are going to be.

Stay organized with a routine.
