energy boosting smoothie recipes for athletes

Have you ever felt like you have no energy? You’re motivated to go to the gym, do your homework or write your CV but, you feel like there’s nothing left in the tank, you’re sluggish and you’re struggling to keep your eyes open, well you’re not the only one, as a blogger you might think all i have to do is write a few words and post it to the internet for everyone to see but, there’s a lot more to it than that. One of the worst problems I face with blogging is the dreaded writers block *dum dum dummmm, every single letter you press, your eyes seem to close that little bit more until your energy hits an all time low and you end up falling to sleep at your desk, holding down the spacebar key with your forehead (based on real life events).
I got to the stage where I had enough of having sticky keys (both literally and figuratively) so I set out on a quest to find ways in which I could boost my energy and one of these ways was by drinking smoothies. Remember there is a huge connection between your body and your brain so if you’re feeling mentally fatigued, a great thing you can do is fuel your body and what a better way to do it then a quick and easy smoothie. Because they’re so many different combinations of smoothies you can have but, as you know I was looking for one’s that would give me more energy I had to do some more digging, luckily one of my good friends Ali was willing to help!
Ali is a no nonsense, national academy of sports medicine certified personal trainer or NASM for short and not only is he ex-military, he’s also now a life coach. When I was talking to Ali he was really interested in getting on board with this project, he’s not interested in all of his amazing titles, he is solely focused on helping you change your life for the better. from repairing your relationships to awakening your confidence, he’s got you covered.

Smoothie prep

Before you start to make any of these delicious energy boosting smoothies we’re about to share with you, you’re going to need a blender to mix these concoctions together. Me personally I have a daewoo which is good, however I’m not sure if it’s the most durable as it’s not working the best nowadays. I’ve been looking around for a new one, watching reviews on YouTube for the best smoothie blenders and the one that kept popping up was a, drum roll please…

Nutribullet pro

Nutribullet are one of the biggest brands in the market and there’s no doubt that they should be. At a great quality for the price the nutribullet pro is a great addition to your kitchen for creating the magical smoothies of your dreams. Churning your pulp, seeds, nuts and skin into a delicious silky smooth texture, with very little noise pollution so you don’t wake up the household, you’ll find this blender being your new breakfast buddy making your early mornings a little quicker and easier than ever before. This great deal comes with two cup included to make them mornings when you're in a rush a little bit easier by allowing you to have your smoothie on the go, whether you're doing the school run or heading to the gym.

Energy smoothie recipes for athletes

Although these recipes are for athletes That doesn’t mean me or you can’t use them, the reason why I chose to use that title is to show that these smoothies will give you the energy of a professional athlete like Ali, talking about Ali when he sent over the recipes he also gave me an extract from his book, I can’t repeat everything he said because there was to many cuss words and if my mother reads this she won’t be happy but, I can give you a brief description of what he said: Getting daily nutrition in can be a battle. The food industry doesn’t make it easy for us, with a fast food restaurant at every corner no matter where you are from, four vending machines strategically placed at the exits of where you work and then a pizza hut next to a Chinese take away restaurant across the road. Ali understands that it’s not easy getting the wholesome healthy nourishing foods “fly into the hole in the middle of your face“ it’s going to take some effort but with these smoothies you will be well on your way to a healthier and more energized life.
